I know firsthand that a great education is the front door of the American Dream...and my dream is for every South Carolina student to have access to that same opportunity.
I was elected on a commonsense plan to equip our students with critical skills, empower our parents with choices, and support our teachers in the classroom.
This is our moment to turn the dream into reality: a bright education future for kids in every corner of the Palmetto State is on the horizon.
Let's roll up our sleeves and get to work!
Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Superintendent Ellen Weaver saw first-hand the power of a great education. Ellen began her education in a small private school, before completing sixth to tenth grades as a homeschooled student and graduating from a great public high school. Growing up, she had the opportunity to work with her father in his small business, working on construction sites, instilling in her integrity, tenacity, and a strong work ethic.
